CLINICAL CASE FANNY FUENTES
Female of 72 years old sent to emergency. She shows mild symptoms of chest, back and neck pain, she arrived at the hospital weakened. she presents difficulty to breathing and walking, she must avoid heavy work, move a lot, long walks and should eat foods with more vitamin D.
PRESCRIPTION: for muscle pain take metacarbamol and to stop feeling weak take citalopram.
DOSAGE: take metacarbamol every 8 hours for 15 days and take citalopram every 12 hours for 5 days
WARNING:
- If you have kidney problems, metacarbamol may cause liver damage in people with pre-existing kidney problems.
- Metocarbamol has the potential to create physical and psychological dependence, especially if taken in high doses or for a prolonged period.
- Citalopram can worsen certain health conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, myasthenia gravis, and epilepsy.
SIDE EFFECT: These drugs can cause common side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, headache, nausea, and vomiting.
After a treatment, she can expect to have less pain and muscle spasms. By reducing muscle tension, metocarbamol can also help improve the quality of sleep and the ability to perform daily activities without pain or discomfort.
